Love Lockdown:
Kanye singing? Different direction, much? Autotune-tastic. I like the minimalism of it, and the fact that it's hookless, just a simple melody. Can't wait to hear the new album.

I think it's kind of weak. The main problem is that Kanye can't sing for shit. Now, sometimes this isn't a problem, but hear it really stands out.
In fairness to him it seems he is trying to move on from his sampled soul sound towards a more electronic type thing, so marks to him for branching out.
I like the backing track, but the vocals let this down.
Man, that's pretty hideous. Couldn't listen to the whole thing.
I'm vaguely reminded of this guy.
I absolutely HATE Kanye West, but I must admit this song was pretty damn good at the VMAs.
I'd hate to have to eat my words after years of Kanye bashing, so I'm gonna put my money on this being a fluke!
If it wasnt kanye dont think anyone would be paying attention
Bit too much Autotune - unless thats the sound he was aiming for
Jesus Christ, self-conscious enough about his voice? Worse than Britney. If he's gonna sing, he might as well do it as a person, not a robot.
I think I like it but I'm not sure yet! It's a departure for Kanye alright. But it does veer dangerously close to Craig David territory.
I like the ending when the drums come in, kinda cool. Not sure about the cheap plinky piano tho, could be better without it.
Wow, I think I really like that, it's kind of one big hook, i'd say it will be remixed all over the place, including by his good self. It's kinda eighties clubby.
@offthemeatrack - yeah, I'd like him to move into a more electronic thing all the time. He seems to be a big fan of Daft Punk and Justice, so it would be cool if he made sounds more like that.
@karl - robots are cool! Lil Wayne's voice is completely manipulated all the time and sounds awesome.
@sarah - yeah, it's aching for remixes alright. Should be interesting to see where people take it.
Good Song. But the overuse of the vocoder effect kinda ruins it. You can hear his vocals are in tune and its easy to tune them without sounding like cher. They chose to go for that effect which was a bad decision i think for a song of that tempo and style that is relying on the vocals for the melody. The slow tempo makes the song feel longer which only heightens the annoyingness of the vocoder effect.
hes a twat
