I've been a fan of Rollers/Sparkers since they released their debut album 'Second Level Crossing' on Lazybird four years ago. Now, here comes their second record, Hames.It's a bizarre mix of layered not-saying-much vocals, strange instrumentals, sounds from things you didn't know existed and much more. You can hear some of their tracks on their MySpace, namely the strangely jaunty 'CIE Action Figures' which is on the new album.

certainly the best 'current' irish band. loved them since I saw them by accident in the ballroom of romance probably about five years ago now.
That was at the time of their Geography for the leaving EP which was and still is brilliant.
A truly excellent band, somewhere between Nurse With Wound and Flann O'Brien!
