Ratatat - LP3

I've been listening to this all week. Probably already a contender for a place in the top ten albums of the year for me. There is just so much SPACE through the album. You know the way sometimes Muse can really channel the sound between planets or something? That vastness? Well, I think Ratatat sounds like the universe - like a bunch of little aliens fucking sounds into stars and coming back with this.

My favourite track is 'Imperials', it's just the most incredible thing I've heard in so long. The use of water through the track as a vessel of sound it just amazing. (mp3 is here.)

Here's the video for: Mirando

Something very Commodore 64 about that. At the start anyway.

yeah, it's the only track on the album that's really big on 8-bit.

That's the best thing about LP3 - there's such great variety throughout.

I love Shempi, that has to be my favourite track off the album by far.

Brulee = me, in melodic form. The entire album is amazing, but that song hits my core like nothing else I've ever heard.
