what sarah said. as a gay man , i am shocked at how many fellow queers voted no. since when has the irish government ever looked out for us. in the 12 years i lived in candada and was away from ireland, i feel in that time that people have turned more insular. less aware. i'm moving back. mostly everyone i know voted against and for reasons that had nothing to do with the treaty. i feel removed and like i don't fit in. i don't understand it.
