Hard Working Class Heroes 2008 launches on June 4th at the Button Factory (have you stopped calling it the Music Centre yet? Me neither.)
New Amusement, Nakatomi Plaza and Carly Sings will play the launch, and all the details of the(apparently Budweiser-less) festival will be announced.
Party on - HWCH ROCKS.

Button Factory is nonsense. It's a centre, with music in. Seriously like.
The HWCH event has always been shit. A platform for dead-beat indie dublin bands who have delusions of actually making it. No doubt without the budweiser sponsorship, tickets prices will reflect this and indie kids in skinny jeans will weep a tear.

You are such a cliché.

- Pardon me, but that's just bullshit. HWCH has done some stellar work to promote quality Irish bands. Every year throws up at least a few exciting new acts. It's a great forum for bands to meet each other, gain some new fans, and the HWCH heads do some brilliant work in promoting music photography too.
People bitch about it, because bitches like bitching - generally anonymously.
If there was no HWCH, the same bitches would spend their days bitching about the fact that a structure and event like HWCH wasn't in existence.
speaking of cliches - "indie kids in skinny jeans", is that the best insult you can come up with? Slagging the clothes people wear? Gimme a break.
ha ha, nice one una.
I agree with you, i think HWCH is great, and not just for the bands, its a great chance for music fans to get to see some great local talent that they may not have seen otherwise. Last year was the best one yet, great idea to do it in the pod complex. I say hats of to all involved in the running of the event and best of luck again this year. and who needs budwiser anyway? tastes like ass!
