Nah the defender was definitely playing him onside. It will be interesting to see how the Galaxy perform this year with a supposedly fully fit Beckham.

I saw a video of Beckham curling a Beckham free in last year, can't be his first ever MLS goal. Perhaps this season.

They went mad at the time, it was funny. "Trademark bending ball into the left net".

yeah, I remember that too. Maybe that was in a different tournament or a friendly or something.

that new yorker piece on the new yorker is crap--just the same old spittle about "internet news reliance", etc., with nary any quality content. i cringed at its read, really, in fact annoyed at the attempts to "romanticize" the whole event with the opening mention of Publick Occurences (puke) and of course the attempt to quote editors on what its like to really be a news reporter--you can't explain to someone the tireless mistress that is constantly pulling you toward the biz like the newspaper vixen, and really, to try and attempt it, is butchery in itself.

But that's one newspapering gals opinion here in america.

Consiering his fine character work surely Tom Waits has made the best album ever by an actor.

By the sounds of it Dave Sitek made the ScarJo album.

Ha! I agree with this cat Ian.

Scarjo doing covers anyways? Snooze.

Bit late to respond but to explain. The goal he got last year was in the North American Superliga which is a competition between the MLS and the Mexican League.

Competiton is explained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_SuperLiga
