Greetings from Kuala Lumpur!
Last night me and Tiger went for dinner across the road from our hotel and had yumsies food for about a euro. Although I'm not entirely sure what meat was in my curry. But I'm not going to think about that right now.
Then we went out to a couple of bars - Hush and somewhere else. The bars here kind of remind me of Cape Town, quite cool and understated. But it's tame enough which I guess is what you have to expect when it comes to the nightlife of a (albeit liberal enough) Muslim country. We were kind of tired, but were trying to overcome jet lag so stayed out and ended up having pints of Heino outside an Irish bar called Finnegans.
Then we saw a cockroach, and then we saw a dead rat. There were mad thunderstorms yesterday evening. It's around 90 degrees, super humid and at the tail end of the rainy season, so there's a bit of a stormy buzz.
When we got back to the hotel, there was hilarious Lost In Translation-type entertainment in the bar with two birds in gold dresses and a guy with a keyboard and a guitar singing 'Rehab' and 'Unbreak My Heart.' They also keep playing Westlife and Boyzone CDs in the bar too, which is quite unsettling.
Was up early this morning because Tiger was yelling "do not stand between a man and his breakfast buffet." It was quite nice actually.
Ok, off to watch CNN and chill the max.
