UnaRocks shortlisted for Best Popculture Blog

Yay, this blog has been nominated for best popculture blog at the 2008 Irish Blog Awards. The rest of the shortlists are here, and my own personal fight to the death includes these various fabulous blogs:

DZ-015 by Rick O’Shea
Fustar
Daddy or Chips?
UnaRocks
Dante and the Lobster
The Chancer
Frank Fearless Free
Ego Eccentric
Why, That’s Delightful!
Rapture Ponies

When I saw what I was longlisted for I was convinced that I wouldn't get nominated on any shortlist considering the varying categories I was put in for, because all it showed is that this blog is not focussed. It's either a blog about many things or a blog about nothing at all. I'm not too sure. I don't think it's just about music, or me, or popculture, or Dublin, or anything else. But I don't care, because I don't write it for anyone in particular, or to get anyone to read it, but it is fun to be in a category with some great blogs (all of which are a million times better than mine) and friends.

Anyway, I got two shortlist nominations last year, so that means this blog is getting worse, so you better stop reading.
Yaysies! Can't wait for the awards - should be a fun night. Also, Twenty Major promised to buy me a beer, so I shall hunt him down until he does.

Yeh congrats on the nomination. I never made the shortlist and after doing some judging I can see why as the standard is good.
And Twenty is buying the beer on night? Excellent. Will bring as many people as I can find. Im sure there are a few lads around Grafton St that would love a beer with old major.
