RTE: "NOT GAY"

The words 'NOT GAY' flash up on the ad for the New RTE sitcom 'Roaring Twenties'. PHEW! Thank God, otherwise members of the watching public might catch the gay or something.

WTF?

It might as well flash up "NOT SHIT", just to counter-act the impression that the promo sends out.

Wasn't Rathmines carpet bombed out of Dublin in the 1980s anyway?

Looks like somebody could easily lodge a complaint with the ASAI and get it upheld... http://www.asai.ie/

Unless I'm missing something, it's a clear breach of the code.

Off you go then Cian.

Nobody will stand in your way.

You interweb blogging people are so smart.

Well I'll have you know that I fully intend watching it (and enjoying it, no doubt despite myself) thanks to just such a warning.

I had initially intended avoiding it and going to a good novena since I thought there might be an excessive amount of roaring in it, but the "NOT GAY" thing at the very least guarantees an evening free from them rascally homosexual types with their innuendos and japeries and whatnot.

Besides, Fair City is riddled with the drugs and the infidelity. It gives me fierce heartburn.

Why?? "Not Gay" + RTE sitcom + attempt to be hip with the young people. I'm scared mommy!

Just giving friendly advice to anybody pushed enough they might want to do something about it, I'm not.
