Ladyflash finds a new home

One of the Button Factory's club nights is moving to Kennedy's on Westland Row.

Ladyflash will re-launch Thursday 28th February with the awesome line-up of Queen Kong (it's their single launch party), Stagger Lee and a DJ set from Phantom's Sinead Ni Mhordha.
Doors are at 10pm and it's 7 lids to get in and kick it.
I think this night will do way better in the basement of Kennedy's than in Temple Bar. My own interpretation (and this is not a scientific one) is that the Button Factory is in trouble. There is little momentum there. Where's the buzz? Personally, I haven't been back there since the launch. And actually, I can't think of any of my mates who have either. As far as I can see, the vibe of the place has completely changed. The club nights are so uninspiring and they just aren't getting enough quality acts to play and bring in the crowds. It's a shame, because the place looks so good inside. Maybe too good. Maybe that's the problem.
Their Saturday night is now 'Temple Bar Trad' (yikes, what is this? A bastard child of Oliver St John Gogarty and Fitzsimmons?) and although there are a few good acts playing there in the coming weeks and months (well, Tegan and Sarah and Band of Horses anyway*edit: BOH has been moved to Tripod*), it's just not enough. I'd hate to see any club do badly, but the Button Factory really needs to flick the quality switch and get its shit together if it wants to survive.
