Fringey Fringey

There's possibly too much going on at this year's Dublin Fringe Festival to blog about in one post. So I'm just going to talk about myself. Me, me, me. I'm going to see Lenka's Wardrobe today at the Bewley's Cafe Theatre and Pirate Sounds tonight at the Spiegeltent with Ro Ro and Crazy P tomorrow night at the S Tent.

I'm also hoping to make it to Disco-nnect, which sounds cool:
"A mystery audio tour to make you fall back in love with the city and its fellow travellers. Follow the route to a secret gig where you make the party happen. Immerse yourself in this journey, travel alone, hand in hand with a partner or as part of a partying posse. Daylight turns to dusk as you arrive at your final destination: a gig, a party, a place for interaction."
The piece is by Maebh Cheasty from YoureOnlyMassive.

YoCo went to see La Clique and said it was amazing, so I might go to that too.

Anyone else planning to Fringe it up?

It's just a really cool café...

you can read about it here:

http://www.fringefest.com/shows/113

Last year, you just paid your 3 skidoo in and then you could make as much tea as you wanted, toast your bread yourself (with a great selection of proper marmalades and jam) and there was slippers and dressing gowns there if you wanted to pop them on to feel more at home. There's board games too! We had a killer game of trivial pursuit there! Just really nice and a cool place to chill..

la clique was ssssssssuuuuuuuuper, seriously go! i'm going to see les chiche capon's cabaret because they managed to make me cry laughing at la clique by doing pretty much nothing so will miss pirate sounds and ham sambo at the sugar club. reeeeally annoyed i missed the art raid. also going to an afternoon teadance in the spiegeltent and definitely the personality cafe (although i'm still not quite sure what it is...) i heart fringe indeed.

PS: just back from Lenka's Wardrobe at the Bewley's Theatre - quite funny and a good way to spend your lunch hour. Book ahead though, there was a big queue of people who couldn't get in because they hadn't bought tickets in advance and it was full full full.
