Excellent piece on the HPV vaccine

This vaccine is available privately in Ireland. It has been recommended that the vaccine be rolled out nationwide, but unsurprisingly such plans although promised, are caught in a messy web of red tape and the bureaucracy of our health service and its vested interests.

Same in America. I went to try and receive it from my doctor and they basically persuaded me not to get it because the wait time and the paperwork they would have to do to try to receive it was enormous.

Its pretty ridiculous and theres loads of good articles on it, well stateside anyways.

Over here, its the religious right tangled the whole thing up. This, to me,is unfathomable because its really only helpful when you are younger (say age 12) to receive it in terms of prevention. Most people our age probably have HPV because its quite common, not that it leads to cervical cancer in most of those cases. But still.

I could go on forever. I will shut my damn mouth now.

Parents of young girls who are
considering signing up for the
HPV vaccine should research the
ingredients in the vaccine i.e.
Aluminium, Polysorbate 80 etc &
the side effects from same.
