The Irish Festival for Irish Bands

===================================

The 5th Hard Working Class Heroes festival in association with BudRising will be announced on June 19th 2007 with a special launch event in the wholly appropriate environs of the Camden Palace Pool Hall, Camden Street, Dublin 2.

Food, pool, live music (courtesy of hotly-tipped emerging bands Fight Like Apes, The Minutes and Angel Pier) and plenty of Bud will accompany an invitation to bands across the country to play at what promises to be the best Hard Working Class Heroes festival to date.

Full details of the festival’s new location will be announced at the launch along with revealing the new festival website and a rundown of exciting developments in many of the areas of the events that will be taking place in Dublin on 28th-30th September.

Once again, BudRising will be fully on board in support of the event and the bands involved as well as the photographers and industry insiders who will be participating in the exhibitions and industry seminars and mentor sessions.

The registration process will be online only via Sonicbids accessed through www.hwch.net. HWCH will fully cover the cost of the “sign-up” subscription to Sonicbids so application will be completely free! Band members must be over 18 years of age to apply. The final complement of bands will be chosen by a panel of international media and industry judges who will be aiming to ensure that only the finest acts will be treading the boards at this year’s festival. The closing date for submissions will be July 19th.

The Hard Working Class Heroes festival has become the Irish music industry's most telling barometer. It is a perfect opportunity to spot emerging acts as well as a chance to see more established artists perform in full festival spirit without having to buy a tent. HWCH is Ireland's only festival dedicated to Irish bands.

“We receive great feedback from bands and fans every year,” enthuses Festival founder Brian Carroll. “And every year that inspires us to try and make the next year’s event even better.”

HWCH is an over 18’s event.
