Went to see CC last night in Kennedy's with Cap Pas Cap. Finally got to meet the lively Darren from Maximo Joy too.
CPC were awesome. I think it was the first time I'd seen them live (although I find this hard to believe) and I shall definitely be checking them out again.
Was up the front for Crystal Castles - you couldn't move for skinny jeans, haircuts, braces and contrasting print dresses. They were awesome - so much energy and such a unique sound. Unfortunately, they only played for about 30 minutes which kind of sucked, but I guess they don't have enough material yet to beef out their set. Such a good buzz though. And I bought their black t-shirt that I had been eyeing on myspace for a while. You can never buy too many band t-shirts. You can't.
The gentlemanly blogger Nialler9 and the Super Extra Bonus Party boys kindly rescued me from my toberlone-ness and we had pints and chatted and what not and it was great fun. To think I was going to leave early and everything. Nialler and I almost had a blog-off outside, but he forgot the lino and I wasn't wearing my breakdancing shoes so the war will have to wait. Not that that's a ceasefire.
I forgot to put a memory stick in my camera so I have no photees - d'oh.

I'm so glad everything passed off ok. I was getting worried space and time might have gotten bent into a wormhole or something in Kennedy's basement with the two heavyweights of Irish music blogging in close proximity!
I guess it's a symptom of the plethora of gigs on offer that we all don't bump into each other more often...

i was at the galway show on sunday. CC were great but the 40 old people that turned up to see 'em weren't so great :(. people don't dance no more etc.
