PS3

Iano and myself tested this bad boy out yesterday evening. It's AWESOME. The Blu-Ray DVD is really cool and there are loads of excellent features that (If I had the sponds) would make me buy it; like the fact that you can connect your iPod to it, the photo gallery stuff, wireless controllers, internet facility, 60GB drive, 7 USB ports for controllers or whatever and a bunch of other things.
We played Resistance for a little bit which is a shooter based in England in the 50s or something - everywhere is really war-torn and you're shooting aliens for some reason. I wasn't overly impressed with it. Then we played a dirt track racing game which was cool because it has the whole Wii thing going on where you move the controller, not the controls. But this best game was Formula One. The graphics were AMAZING, and we raced in Monaco in the pouring rain and the rain dries off your viser when you go into the tunnel. Cool. Then I played a little NBA, but I'm not really into sports games so I thought it was just ok, although the graphics were excellent.
I'd love a PS3 if there were some new titles that I'd like with it - a new Tony Hawk or a GTA or some new Rock Star games, dammit, a new Metal Gear Solid or Max Payne would be cool too. Overall I was impressed though, mainly with the PS3's non-gaming aspects though. I'll stick with my PS2 for now.

The PS3-related quote of the day comes from my mate Conor to tha Wilson who's picking up his PS3 on Friday, "mind you, if I don't get a new TV it will be like drinking Bollinger from a toilet."
