Myself and Anto were discussing the posters advertising Jenny Wilson's gig @ The Village tonight. The poster states 'JENNY WILSON (THE KNIFE)', which, eh, sort of alludes to the fact that Jenny Wilson is a member of The Knife. But, she isn't.
She is however signed to Rabid Records, a label owned by The Knife's actual members (Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olaf Dreijer)
In 2003 Wilson provided vocals to The Knife track 'You Take My Breath Away' (version 1) and in 2004 again to 'You Take My Breath Away' (version 2). How this qualifies her to be advertised in such a manner is beyond me. I wonder how many people are heading to that gig thinking - and you can't blame them, given the advertising - that they are going to see one half of a band who rarely play live?

Absolutely spot on, Una. Did a double-take myself when I saw The Knife under her name. Probably the most shameless piece of false advertising I've ever seen.
Yeh I was thinking this myself... stupid advert.
I wonder how it went - did anyone go?
