God, I hope it gets better, that's all a bit dull and predictable innit?
still, some massive names. Pissed off that Arcade Fire and Radiohead are playing Oxegen, was thinking of not going this year and would love to see them at the Picnic.
Rubbish line-up, rubbish festival.
Arcade Fire and Radiohead are the only decent bands on the list and they would be more suitable for EP.
Depressingly safe, predictable choices and the usual smattering of middling iRISH Bands...
I'd do it for CSS!
Muse will probably put on the ould fireworks, too.
Ah..predictable.
Smashing Pumpkins pleaseee
*crosses fingers*
^.^
well, it wont feature the Arctic Monkeys because they're doing Malahide Castle.
I'd say this is the T in the Park line-up and NME have just did a bit of cut and paste.
Arcade Fire are definietly doing oxegen - they were offered a shed load of cash to do it and T.
of course, its predictable - its bloody oxegen, innit?
I think it's a really strong line-up, yeah it's predictable, but it's still got most of the biggest bands in the world there.
If Arcade Fire, CSS, Bloc Party Muse and Radiohead were playing Electric Picnic, people would be wetting themselves with glee, but because it's Oxegen, everyone just bitches I guess.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Oxegen's lay-out, vibe and am not in the demographic of the majority of people who go, but it's still a rather stonking line-up.

I dont' think people are necessairly bitching about Oxegen or what festival the bands play - the EP line-up is always more eclectic by miles anyway.
Having a handful of (the above) decent bands, does not a strong line-up make. There's nearly 30 acts on the list and only 3 or 4 worth seeing...
yeah the EP line-up is far more eclectic. Even if the only act at Electric Picnic was Mary Wilson playing an empty suitcase with a wooden spoon, I'd still go because there is such a nice vibe, the setting is amazing, smaller, nice crowd etc.
And even if Jim Morrison was ressurected to headline Oxegen, it would still be full of drunk students crowded into a tiny field, slipping on muck and opting for Panic At The Disco and The Saw Doctors instead.
The Saw Doctors. *shudder* :)
I know, although my Galwegian flatmate will kill me for that.
There may or may not be a Saw Doctors LIVE dvd in our gaff.
there's nothing wrong with The Saw Doctors! and I would <3 to see Panic At The Disco. And to think I've been called a music snob
I'm not a music snob, I just don't get PATD. From the ammount my ears have been able to tolerate I think they suck, in fact.
Damn. I thought CSS would have been perfect for Electric Picnic.
I swore two years ago, I would never go back..
I went on Saturday last year to see Animal Collective and The Go! Team.
I don't want to go back. 6 years in a row is enough.
I've seen Radiohead & CSS recently. Arcade Fire next month. I wouldn't be pushed on any more of the acts really. Bloc Party maybe. But not enough to make me go!
yeah I really am not pushed to go this year. The past two years I've gone down and gone home each night because I just can't deal with the drunk student element (when it's not me.)
But, I have to say, if Radiohead and Arcade Fire are playing, I will have to go, even though Ive seen them both before.
Saw CSS a couple of weeks ago, and anyway they're back in a couple of months again, so no biggie with that one.
Would like to see Bloc Party play some of their new stuff too, will miss their gig tonight and only saw them for the first time at last year's Picnic.
Ah bollocks, Radiohead and AF are 2 of my top 3 bands. I'd have to go. But I'd feel dirty doing it.
good to see The Indo EXCLUSIVELY revealed parts of this line-up today. Tee hee.
