Una's Ill-fated Predictions volume 1.

I like making predictions. Surprising, I tend to be right a lot of the time, and then go around for a while kicking myself that I didn't voice them a little louder so I could, myself in turn, voice a little louder I TOLD YOU SO.

So here are some predictions for world domination

[LOST]
OK, I know I'm going on about them a bit, but [LOST] are going to do very well, I can feel it. They play The Hub on November 8th and Crawdaddy on November 21st. And Reykjavik is a tune.

Surefire
Already respectably big stateside, Arctic Monkeys are supporting them at the Bowery. Should hit Europe soon.

The Immediate
Another band that I've been blah blahing about for over a year, maybe two. Well, they've since released a single on Fierce Panda and are on Fantastic Plastic now so just wait for them to blow up. Their EP 'Don't Get Lost' is the best Irish EP in fucking YEARS.

Other bands finally making it over here, and that I want to make it beeeeeeg (isn't American indie so much more exciting than British these days, or is it just me?) Clap You Hands Say Yeah, The Pipettes, The Natinal, You Say Party We Say Die.

Listen.

Listen.

Listen.

The Pipettes are wonderful and deserve some recognition. such fun songs and fabulous dresses. i hope they make it back here soon and maybe they could drag Brakes along too. that'd be a dream gig :)
